What is the "Online Bill Presentation System"? Back To Top

Turlock Irrigation District's Online Bill Presentation System, which can also be used to switch to the Western Union Bill Payment website, is an Internet based system that allows TID's electric utility customers to view their statements online. This system may be accessed by going to the www.tid.org home page and clicking on either of the two links as shown below.

What is a Login? Back To Top

A Login is what is used to uniquely identify a system user to the system. TID's Online Bill Presentation System requires use of an email address combined with a password for this purpose. When TID customers register to use the Online Bill Presentation system, the system creates a login for them based on the email address and password provided.

What is a Customer Number? Back To Top

The customer number is the first six digits of the TID account number. This number is located on your monthly statement at the top left hand corner and bottom left hand corner, directly above the customer name. (See example below).

Can more than one Email address be associated to a customer number? Back To Top

Yes.

Can an Email address be associated to multiple customer numbers? Back To Top

No, the Email address can only be associated to one customer number at a time.

I have registered but cannot access my account? Back To Top

When a customer number is registered, you will receive a confirmation Email to ensure that TID has the correct Email address entered in the online system. You will need to click on the link inside of that Email in order to activate your online account.

I am trying to register my customer number, but when I enter the last four digits of my social security number, the system will not accept that it is valid. What do I do? Back To Top

You will need to make sure you are using the last four digits of the primary customer's social security number. This will be the person listed first on your monthly statement. (You can find this information on the top left hand corner and bottom left hand corner of your monthly statement, directly under your TID account number.) (See example below)

Another reason that the last four digits of the social security number may not work, is that TID may not have the primary customer's social security number on file. You may try using the last four digits of the primary customer's Drivers License number. If TID has that information on file, that will work as well.

If you are still unable to register, please contact the Customer Service Department at (209) 883-8222 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. District offices are closed on weekends and holidays.

On the login page, please click on the "Forgot Your Password" link. You will be taken to the "Reset Password" page.

Once there, type in the Email address that you registered with and click "Reset Password." A temporary password will be emailed to you. The Email will have a link to click on that allows for re-authorizing the account. Without clicking on the link, the password reset will not be in effect .

You can re-register using the same Email address and desired password. This will reset your online account with the password you choose. You must then re-activate your account by clicking on the link in the confirmation email that you will receive. Without clicking on the link, the re-registration will not be activated .

I have clicked on the "Reset Password" option and a temporary password was sent to my Email address, but I am having trouble getting my temporary password to work. What do I do? Back To Top

You can try highlighting the temporary password in the confirmation Email, then right click on the highlighted password and select copy. You can then right click in the password field when you are trying to login and select paste. This will copy the temporary password exactly as it was sent to you and should allow you to login. You can then change your password to the desired one.

If you are still having trouble getting the temporary password to work, you can always re-register with the same Email address and the desired password, therefore resetting your account. You will need to make sure you re-activate your account by clicking on the link in the confirmation Email that will be sent to you. Without clicking on the link, the re-registration will not be activated .

I do not remember the Email address and password used when I first registered. What do I do? Back To Top

You may re-register with the same Email address or a new one.

You will find that this box is checked. Please un-check it and click on "Save Changes". After that you may expect the following behavior on the Summary Page of the web site. Upon clicking "Current Bill" or choosing "Previous Statement", the PDF statement will be embedded in the existing window. Upon clicking on "Pay Bill" you will see the following message:

You may then click on the "Pay Bill" button which would navigate you away from the Online Bill Presentation Website and to the "Western Union" website to begin your payment process. If you still need to view your monthly statement or pay additional TID bills, you will need to re-login to the TID bill presentation website.
